Colorado

When a child is in treatment,
the whole family stops going outside.

The Mother Nurture buys the state parks pass that gets them back out there — every Colorado state park, for a full year, at no cost to the family. If a family already bought a pass, we pay them back for it.

What a gift does

$29 opens every Colorado state park to one family for a full year.

We buy the pass

Colorado’s Keep Colorado Wild pass costs $29 a year and covers entry to every state park by car, bike, or on foot.

Or we pay you back

Already bought one before the diagnosis, or added it to your vehicle registration? Tell us and we will reimburse it.

And we check the free routes first

Some families already qualify for a free state pass. We will look with you before we spend a donor’s money.

If your child is in treatment

Ask us for a pass. It is free, it stays free, and the questions we ask are only the ones we need to get you one.

Request a pass

If you want to help

Give once, give monthly, or give once a year on March 1. Every gift goes out as a pass to a family.

Give a pass

If you want to stay close

A short letter a few times a year: where the passes went, and what families did with them.

Our story

The Mother Nurture started the way these things usually start — with one family, one diagnosis, and a lot of days spent indoors.

Sara founded The Mother Nurture in Colorado so that other families going through treatment can still get out to the places that make them feel like themselves again. Her full story is coming to this page soon.

Give

Three ways to send a family outside.

Once
A single gift. $29 is one family for a year; $290 is ten.
Every month
A steady amount, so we can promise a pass before the money is in.
Once a year, on March 1
Some people would rather give on the same day each year. Ours is March 1, ahead of the season families most want to be out.

Giving opens as soon as we are formed.

We are finishing our nonprofit paperwork right now, and we would rather wait a few weeks than take your money before we can account for it properly. Pass applications and the letter open at the same time.
